Felini Complete
Felini Complete is a balanced food supplement providing vitamins, minerals, trace elements and taurine to supplement raw or cooked meat.
Cats are obligate carnivores („true“/“pure“ meat eaters) and therefore have specific nutritional needs. Their natural foods consist of whole prey animals, like mice, insects and sometimes little birds. These provide them with protein, fat, amino acids (from meat), vitamins (from offal), minerals and trace elements (from bones and blood). Felini Complete supplements pure meat to make it a „complete food“.
Use and dosage:
An adult cat (of around 4.5kg) needs around 130g of meat per day, divided into 2-3 meals. For one meal mix 65g of meat with one level Felini measuring spoon (0.8g) of Felini Complete and 2 table spoons of water.
When preparing larger amounts please use 12.5g (approx.15.5 level measuring spoons) of Felini Complete and 150ml of water for 1kg of meat. Besides muscle meat you can also use heart (up to 15%) stomach/gizzards and kidney (up to 5%). Bigger cats will need appropriately bigger meals. Check your cat’s weight.
4kg | 120g | 1,5g |
5kg | 150g | 1,9g |
6kg | 180g | 2,3g |
7kg | 210g | 2,6g |
8kg | 240g | 3,0g |
The fat content should average 10%. You can mix lean with fatter meats to achieve this. If you exclusively use lean cuts/meats you should supplement these with animal fats, for example goose fat (without any additives) to reach a fat content of approx. 10%. If needed you can also supplement up to 5% dietary fiber.
As Felini Complete already contains calcium, phosphor and vitamin A you should not feed bones or liver. Variety is key! Use different cuts, different types of meat.
Suitable types of meat are for example: chicken, turkey, duck, lamb, beef, veal, rabbit, hare, venison, horse, ostrich, pheasant and more. Suitable cuts are: breast, neck, leg, fillet, cuts with skin, heart (up to 15%), stomach and kidney (up to 5%)
Please do not feed raw pork, nor raw wild boar (danger of Aujeszky virus) cooked pork/boar can be fed.
Fish is a nice change for cats in the diet. However, cats are primarily carnivores so this treat should not end up in the bowl more than once a week. Please make sure that if you are feeding raw fish, it is a salmonid. This is e.g. genuine salmon or trout. Whitefish are not suitable for raw feeding because they contain thiaminase, an enzyme that destroys vitamin B1 in the diet and can lead to deficiency symptoms. Cooking destroys thiaminase.
Notes: Felini Complete is solely designed for the preparation of meals from raw or cooked meat and may not be added as a „supplement“ to already „complete foods“ (like „complete cat food“ cans or pouches)
When feeding cooked meat you should also feed the cooking broth/juices. To avoid loss of vitamins do not cook with Felini Complete, nor add it to hot food. Only add Felini Complete after the meat and broth have cooled down. You can freeze meat with added Felini Complete. But we recommend to keep frozen storage time to as short as possible to avoid loss of vitamins.
Please store in a cool, dry and dark place.
Felini Taurin
Taurine is an essential nutrient for cats which the cat’s organism on its own can’t generate sufficiently. Felini Taurin should be fed as a supplement to your kitty’s daily meals to ensure her daily taurine needs are covered.
Taurine is an amino acid. Long-term deficiency in essential amino acids can harm your cat’s metabolism and lead to skin and coat problems.
The taurine content included in cat food is often lower than the cat’s daily requirement, which particularly leads to longer preservation when food is dramatically heated. The addition of Felini Taurin redresses this balance providing your cat with plenty of vital nutrients. This maintains vision and supports heart function.
The included measuring spoon holds 700mg (level). A fully grown cat should receive 250 – 500 mg of taurine mixed into its food. Always mix with water as undissolved taurine can irritate your pets oral mucosal membrane.
Felini Taurin can also be administered in drinking water in limited amount as fresh water should be made available daily.
We advise 1/2 scoop for an adult cat every day. Kitten up to the age of one year get 1/4 scoop.
Please store in a cool, dry and dark place.
Felini Renal
Felini Renal is a balanced dietary supplementary packed with vitamins, minerals, trace elements and taurine. Perfect as a supplement for raw feeding (BARF) and cooked meat. It is excellent for renal diets as it contains no phosphorus, meaning meals can be prepared in a low-phosphorus way.
If you have decided to provide your cat with a BARF diet, it is not always easy to ensure that all their nutritional needs are met. Thanks to Felini Renal, it is now very simple: in order to provide your cat with all essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements, simple add one level measuring spoon of powder to 80g fresh meat. The measuring spoon is included and can be found inside the tub, making it even easier!
Felini Renal is hypoallergenic and free from fillers. It is also ideal for cats with allergies and intolerances. The powder comes in a tub that can be opened and closed quickly and safely, keeping the supplement dry and avoiding clumping.
Use and dosage:
An adult cat (of around 4.5kg) needs around 130g of meat per day, divided into 2-3 meals. For one meal mix 80g of meat with one level Felini measuring spoon (0.8g) of Felini Renal and 2 table spoons of water.
When preparing larger quantities, add 10g of Felini Renal to 1kg of meat. To make a kidney diet, use only muscle meat; Heart can make up to 20% of the meal. We recommend to abstaining from skin, innards and connective tissue-containing meat parts, as these form biogenic amines or ammonia, which can have an unfavorable effect on the course of the disease.
4kg | 120g | 1,2g |
5kg | 150g | 1,5g |
6kg | 180g | 1,8g |
7kg | 210g | 2,1g |
8kg | 240g | 2,4g |
Decreasing the protein content relieves the kidneys and results in
less urea, which reduces the symptom of nausea. At the same time cats
require a high protein content in the feed, as a shortage leads to
muscle loss. In order to reduce the relative protein and phosphorus
content of the feed while maintaining the caloric intake, the fat
content can be increased up to 20%; e.g. by the addition of lard or
salmon oil, which has an anti-inflammatory effect due to its high
proportion of unsaturated fatty acids. Furthermore, fat is a good flavor
carrier that increases the acceptance of the kidney diet. If necessary,
5% fiber can be added (carrot, rice).
Felini Renal contains a higher amount of water-soluble B vitamins to
counteract their loss through increased urine output. In the advanced
stage of the disease, the diet can be supplemented with a prescription
phosphate binder. A kidney diet must be fed for life and should be
implemented immediately with the diagnosis of CKD (feline chronic kidney
disease).
Please do not feed raw pork, nor raw wild boar (danger of Aujeszky virus) cooked pork/boar can be fed.
